The Hwa Rang Do® World Championships returns to Rome on June 28th & 29th 2026!

Event is open to all TSD & HRD students from around the world.  Remember, all division events are divided up by age/size/ranks so there are events for everyone!

This is your chance to compete with fellow brothers and sisters from around the world in Weapon Forms, Open Hand Forms, Sparring, Grappling, Weapon Fighting & Demonstrations.

We will also be holding the exciting Team matches in Sparring, Grappling, and Weapon Fighting, so make sure you practice hard in the coming months!

The Rules:

The Rules of the tournament will follow standard WHRDA MASTERS Rules for all divisions. Please make sure you are familiar with the rules for the divisions you wish to participate in. Also remember that you must have ALL REQUIRED equipment for sparring, grappling, and weapon fighting matches!

Proper Equipment:

All Participants must have proper equipment for the divisions & events they participate in.  Failure to show up for a division WITHOUT proper equipment will result in denial to compete without any possibility of refund.

Weapon Fighting: MUST have official WHRDA uniform & authorized equipment.  MUST have Hache Hogu (leg protectors) and all other armor with weapons in good condition.
Grappling: ALL Men & Boys MUST have groin protector.  Mouth & Ear guards are optional. Position grappling divisions can wear regular uniforms, Submission grappling divisions MUST wear official WHRDA grappling uniform.
Sparring: ALL Men & Boys MUST have groin protector.  All competitors MUST have WHRDA Helmet, Gloves, Boots, Mouthguard.  Chest & Shin guards are optional.
