The Korean Hwa Rang Do Association was formally created and registered with the Korean Government in 1960 by Founder Dr. Joo Bang Lee. This marked the rebirth of the Hwarang and the beginning of the Hwa Rang Do as a modern martial arts and healing arts system, which was codified by Dr. Joo Bang Lee.

(German Version) “How to Achieve” P.3 Grandmaster Taejoon Lee shares how a student of martial arts can get the most out of their training in the March 2023 Issue of Budo International. “At this point you might be saying, “Yes, I suppose I can commit to something that better suits me, but don’t see why I should do martial arts.” Martial Art is like swimming, which I have stated previously in an article about parenting that all parents must teach their children how to swim. Swimming is a life, survival skill. You can try to live all your life avoiding bodies of water, but if one day something happens that you should find yourself in water, what will you do? Well, you don’t have a choice if you do not know how to swim and surely you will die. Martial Art is the same, you can try living your life avoiding any form of physical conflict or altercation, but what happens if you are confronted with a violent altercation. No one seeks or wants to be physically attacked, it is just a reality of life that it may happen, God forbid that it ever does. If you have absolutely no idea how to defend yourself, then surely your odds of survival are slim to none. However, martial art is much more than just knowing some self-defense, it is a pursuit of well-being physically, mentally, and emotionally.
