As set forth by our art owner and founder Dr. Joo-Bang Lee, Hwa Rang Do's® highest ranks proceed to 10th Dan degree black sash. However, Dr. Joo-Bang Lee holds the Dojoo Nim(owner of art) title for his lifetime, and when he passes away he will appoint the 2nd generation Dojoo Nim title holder to the martial and healing art Hwa Rang Do®.

In the year nineteen hundred and sixty, on April 17th, I hereby founded my secret martial skills with the name of Hwa Rang Do® and included with this the public belt systems, ranks and titles, syllabus, uniforms, symbols, art moral philosophies, and the ancient warrior's code of ethics, with a sense of spirit and a strong honorable mentality for my martial art named Hwa Rang Do®. In nineteen hundred and ninety, on January 1st, I hereby founded Hwa Rang Do's® undergraduate martial art Tae Soo Do® and the public belt systems, ranks and titles, syllabus, uniforms, symbols, art moral philosophies for the martial art named Tae Soo Do®.
